The high-performance, low-power Atmel 8-bit AVR RISC-based microcontroller combines 32KB of programmable flash memory, 2KB SRAM, 1KB EEPROM, an 8-channel 10-bit A/D converter, and a JTAG interface for on-chip debugging. The device supports throughput of 16 MIPS at 16 MHz and operates between 4.5-5.5 volts.

By executing instructions in a single clock cycle, the device achieves throughputs approaching 1 MIPS per MHz, balancing power consumption and processing speed.

  • CPU:8 Bit AVR
  • Flash:32 KBytes
  • SRAM:2 KB
  • Maximum I/O Pins:32
  • Maximum Operating Frequency:16 MHz
  • ADC:10 Bit
  • Timers:3 Nos
  • Operating Voltage:
  • – 2.7V - 5.5V for ATmega32L
    – 4.5V - 5.5V for ATmega32

... are you sure ? but your AVR programmer dont have any FTDI chip ! how come it can communicate over USB ?? Is it possible to interface AtMega8A directly with USB ?

This programmer is as same as USBASP. The USB communication is handled by the firmware.

If i made a circuit ands use this ,do i need to add any Crystal oscillator for that.

Please study the datasheet. Internal crystal is upto 8MHz. For more speed, you'll need oscillator.
