Summary:
1 Channel 12v 30A Opto Isolated Relay Module

The standard 1 Channel 12v 30A Opto Isolated Relay Module, using of High-level voltage signals to trigger, only needs 3mA current signal to drive the 30A load relay. Use of high-quality power relay, high-withstand voltage transistor, red & green signal lights assures accurate and stable performance. Can be used in various types of power control occasions.

1. Using of high-quality relay, normally open relay contacts maximum load: AC 0--250V/30A, DC 0--  30V/30A;
2. Using of high-withstand voltage transistor, strong driving ability, stable performance, trigger current of 3mA;
3. Working voltage:12V

4. The relay using of high-level voltage signals to trigger, high-level voltage signals can be DC power supply positive, also can be microcontroller I/O port set high;
5. The power indicator (red LED), relay status indicator (Green LED);

The relay module outputs(3-wire interface with terminal blocks, very convenient)
1.NO: the relay normally open contacts;
2.COM: the Relay common contact;
3.NC: the relay normally closed contacts.

Q1:Does the module need 2 separate dc power supply,one for the board and another for the relay,or it can be run by 1 single dc supply?

Q2: Can I run a 2hp water pump (9 to 12 A)for 30 to 60 minutes using this module?

1) It's better to use two seperate power supplies but one will work too.

For water pumps the starting current is usually 5-6 times of the fully running current which occurs for maximum 1 second. Are you sure that, your relay can withstand that? Have you tested it?

No. In that case if it crosses 30A even for a moment, it will not withstand the current. The user gotta make sure that the current never crosses the relay's maximum current rating.

We have already provided all the info that we know about this relay. These info are available at the relays body. Power ratings are usually not mentioned in case of relays. Only nominal current is mentioned.

Dear customer, this "1 Channel 12v 30A Opto Isolated Relay Module" will be work within the given voltage and current range:
>> 1HP 120VAC
>> 1/2 HP 240VAC
>> 30A 240VAC

If your maximum load is up to this range, then you can use this module.

Can this relay be used to drive a DC 24/12 V High Current load?

What voltage should we give to the signal pin? Is it Arduino Logic HIGH 5V or transistor shifted 12 V? If it is transistor shifted 12V then why the 12V pins are given? Please clarify.

Please see the specification tab. normally open relay contacts maximum load: AC 0--250V/30A, DC 0-- 30V/30A.
5V must be given to signal pin.
